The award-winning Azimuth CNC CMM is the culmination of design evolution across a wide variety of devices, taking into account over 28 years of CMM design experience. Many of the improvements in design have been due to the bridge and propulsion systems used in the highly successful Azimuth device. In addition to robustness, the bridge and all moving parts are light thanks to the latest material technology. With this feature, Azimuth, when combined with its superior design, is a CMM device with low inertia and therefore the best acceleration characteristics. Advanced Azimuth is fast and minimizes measurement times. The larger airbag provides greater durability and thus significantly improves accuracy. It makes measuring large parts with the CMM not only simple but convenient. We recommend a plate to be placed on top of the granite instead of using a thicker granite slab, which greatly increases the cost and weight of the appliance. This plate has a load carrying capacity of up to 6 tons.
