The aluminum bridge structure not only enables Axiom too to take measurements at a high speed, but also allows the temperature of the machine to adapt quickly to room temperature. Thanks to the heat compensation system in the software, your measurement results are reported as if they were measured at 20°C / 68°F.
Originally developed for the optical industry, the granite and aluminum platter provides fantastic natural damping for high frequency vibrations. The granite-guided Y-axis allows the bridge to move on air cushions in both directions with superior precision and speed. A unique feature of Axiom too is that it allows your manually acquired CMM to be converted to a CNC at any time very easily. Because the device is actually produced as CNC, but in the final stage, motion arms are attached to the axes instead of motors. This allows you to have an affordable CNC CMM for your growing measurement needs in the future.
